mFORTUNE POKER MOBILE SUMMARY
|
INTRODUCTION
mFortune has a unique perspective when it comes to online casinos and poker as it is very much a “mobile only” site. You cannot actually play any poker game whatsoever at the desktop version of the mFortune site – you need to download and install the software onto your smartphone or tablet if you want to play. mFortune's unique approach to online poker play has been around since 2011 and in the short period they have been a viable concern they have won multiple awards, including winning mGaming's Best Mobile Poker Award in 2012. mFortune does NOT accept real money US players. |
HOW TO DOWNLOAD
The mFortune Poker Mobile App is only obtainable via the mFortune desktop site at mFortune. You will see a panel on the left hand side of the screen. Choose your country from the drop down menu (if your country is not listed as an option in the drop down menu then you won't be able to play using the mFortune Poker Mobile App). Once you've selected correctly, enter your mobile number and then click the gold and red “Play Now” button.
In a few moments you will receive a text message on your device from the mFortune poker room. Open the text message and follow the instructions. The mFortune Poker Mobile App will then be installed and saved to your phone.
When you initially install the app, you will only be able to play in demo mode for fun money. You can have unlimited play credits while playing at the casino and you can play for as long as you want.
If you like what you see at the demo version of the casino, then you can upgrade to the real money version at any time by registering an account via the app. This is a very simple process and you can usually complete it within sixty seconds.
Once you've signed up (and claimed your free £5 bonus) then you can enjoy all the top poker action at mFortune's poker tables.
The mFortune Poker Mobile App is compatible with Android, Windows Phone, Nokia Lumia, Blackberry and iPhone mobiles. Other devices may work – just download the software for free and see if it will install on your device.
APP FEATURES
mFortune's app only features a single style of game – Texas Hold'em multiplayer cash games (unless you are playing on the demo version for play money). The desktop version of the mFortune site at the time of writing is promising that Sit and Go tournaments will be added to the app “soon” - Heads Up, Double Up, Classic and Stack Champ.
When you launch the app, you're presented with the tables that are available, including the minimum and maximum buy-ins and blind levels – the size of the big blind is the minimum bet that you are able to make.
To jump onto a table and to start playing, you just need to make your selection and pay the buy-in, then you're all set.
The table display itself is not too impressive, but the app has been designed for casual players rather than potential WSOP main event winners, so there are plenty of cartoon-style avatars and beers and food items being thrown all over the place. The maximum number of players per game is eight.
The screen can become a little cluttered if all eight seats are taken, but it's still easy to fully follow the action as it unfolds. The controls for the game play are easy to use, and you feel fully in control of the action at all times.
Players at the poker room comes in all strengths, but the emphasis is mainly on the weaker, casual player, so if you fancy a bit of sharking, a few shoals of minnows may be finding their way into your mighty poker jaws.
BONUSES & PROMOTIONS
The poker fun at mFortune starts immediately with the bonus of a free fiver when you open an account with the site. The five pounds itself cannot be withdrawn, but you get to keep any winnings you happen to make from it.
As far as bonuses and promotions go, that's about it with the mFortune Poker Mobile App. There are a number of other bonuses available, including a one hundred percent first deposit bonus, but they seem more in line with mFortune's mobile casino than the poker side of the affair, although details on the desktop site are a little sketchy.
The full range of mFortune's bonuses include loyalty bonuses, top up bonuses, weekly prize draws and refer a friend bonuses.

CASHIER OPTIONS
mFortune continues to embrace the mobile aspect of poker by allowing players to fund their accounts via their phone bill! You can also use Visa and MasterCard or Ukash. Withdrawals are processed via direct bank transfer or cheque.
CONCLUSION
If you want a mobile poker app that comes complete without bells and whistles and does exactly what it is supposed to do with the very minimum of fuss, then the mFortune Mobile Poker App should be precisely what you are looking for.
It's a little disappointing that only Texas Hold'em cash games are available at the moment, plus at least mFortune are making promises that Sit and Go games will be added in the near future. They might also like to consider adding a few alternative variants, such as Omaha, Stud and Razz.
mFortune have certainly laid an impressive foundation when it comes to establishing a top mobile poker brand, as their awards and award nominations show. With a little more thought, this could easily become the best option for mobile poker fans anywhere on the net.
